Placemats for the Poor

I was thinking about our upcoming holiday dinner for the poor and how we are expecting over 500 men, women and children. We sent out a mailer to some of our best donors asking them to sign a Christmas placemat to use for our guests. It makes the place look so festive!! I was preparing a ministry report for our board meeting tomorrow and would you believe, we already have 500 placemats that have been mailed in?! We are happily watching the stack grow in the office, adding to the number daily on a little piece of paper on top of the pile. It's going to be our best Christmas banquet ever!
