Keep those Comments Coming!

Today I had to do something I have been trying to avoid for a long time: I had to enable the "anti-comment spam" feature. Blah. Yes, there is blog comment spam to contend with. I don't know why one particular post has precipitated so much spam, but now it is going everywhere. I get an email about the comment, but not the date it is posted. It's like playing blog-and-seek every day with the jerks who are posting about hemorrhoids, cold sores, race cars, and many other very bad things.

Apparently computers do this randomly and they can't read the spam blocker word, so this should stop most spam. One thing that is very annoying is that these long spam lists are FULL of spelling errors. Puhleeze, people. Do you think I am going to click on your "cold soar" medication if you can't even spell it right??!

So, forgive the new feature and if you run into any bad comment spam that I haven't deleted yet, please give me a head's up. Thanks!
