Over 200 days of cloud cover per YEAR!

This is my room. It's a nice room. I wish I were in my room right now. More specifically, my bed! I think I am coming down with something. Tonight is our "free night" so I guess that's good since I can just crash. However, I REALLY want to go see the VERY FIRST STARBUCKS and buy the commemorative mug!! AND... I read a management book called "FISH," set at Pike's Market. Guess what?! It's in downtown Seattle! Conveniently located near the very first Starbucks... Hm... I wonder who's seminar I'm going to skip to take a city bus downtown? Hopefully no one who reads my BLOG...
Yesterday they let us out for a couple hours. I helped load the busses... I began loading our people onto the Alaskan Cruise bus... Funny, they weren't complaining!
Oh, and something you should know about Seattle. It rains. Not a little. A lot. Every day. Grey. Dreary. Gloomy. However, the humongous flower-laden trees are gorgeous. Still, blue skies and yellow wheat are looking better and better every day!
So, those that didn't end up going to Alaska went to the Space Needle! Tom and Vicki (yes, our Vicki) took a very dangerous trip up this rickety ride. Tom figured the Space Needle was boring so he spent his money (and two dollars of mine!) on some very scary theme park ride. His wife, Lori, observing the two of them at the top, swinging their feet and looking out at the view of the Space Needle, commented, "They're probably just having one last look at the world before they die!"
Anyway, a great time was had by all. And we're all still alive!

Hi Michelle,
Hope you're having fun in Seattle - sounds like you are! Coffee central for you. It's too bad you weren't going there in June because Shawn and I were planning a drive there. Sorry to hear that Kenny has pnemonia and I hope he gets better soon. Luv ya and miss ya - your sis - La Petite Fromage
